In Conversation with... Janey Godley

Streaming Live from Eastwood Park Theatre

Saturday 17 April, 8pm

Multi-award-winning, take-no-prisoners, passionate, lyrical, totally honest Scottish comedienne, TV and radio regular, playwright, blogger, best-selling author, columnist, social media genius and, er, Trump nemesis talks to Graham Spiers about her Glasgow upbringing and her fierce and rare talent.

Her 2006 autobiography Handstands in the Dark describes being brought up amid near-Dickensian squalor in the tough East End of Glasgow and sexually abused by her uncle.

Janey married into a Glasgow criminal family as a teenager, then found herself having to cope with the murder of her mother, violence, religious sectarianism, abject poverty and a frightening family of in-laws.
