In order to be eligible for Garden assistance you must firstly live in a property rated Council Tax Band D or less, and either:

  • Be aged 65 years or over and there must be no-one aged 17 or over living in your home who is physically able to maintain your garden.

or

  • Be aged 17 years or over and physically unable to maintain your garden and there must be no-one aged 17 years or over living in your home who is physically able to maintain your garden.

Please note: a medical certificate must be produced for each person between 17 and 65 years of age living in your home if you are claiming assistance because there is no-one physically able to maintain your garden.
