This support is also extended to children and adults with other language and communication disorders.Meetings are held throughout the year, at Clarkston Halls, Clarkston Road. PAMIS works with the families of children and adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities to provide information advice workshops for parents and carers. Opportunities are given to meet families in similar circumstances to exchange information and influence services.

Getting Ahead Project

The Getting Ahead Project is an innovative project that provides a wide range of groups to support new families and families to be in East Renfrewshire.  The main aims of our groups are to provide: social support; information; enjoyment and time out.  Our groups vary from First Time Mums groups to groups that are designed to specifically support mums and mums to be who are experiencing some unexpected feelings for example anxiety or difficulty coping.  We also run a walk and talk group which offers a relaxed environment for mums to come along and meet other mums and get a bit of exercise at the same time.
