Public Performance Report

The Council has a duty to report on service and overall performance under the Local Government in Scotland Act 2003.

We have a well-developed approach to reporting on our performance using a range of methods and sources including:

  • Public performance report

  • Annual performance statements

  • ER magazine

  • News/ Press releases

  • SPI (statutory performance indicator) reports

  • Citizens’ Panel results

Annual Performance Statements 2007-08

Monitoring our performance helps us to understand how we are currently performing and where there is scope for further improvement. To do this we collect information about service performance. Our annual performance statements show how each department has performed during 2007-08.

Public Performance Report 2007-08

Our report looks back over some of the major commitments we made to you as East Renfrewshire residents. It gives you a flavour of how we have performed and where we need to improve our performance.

The report focuses on our performance in delivering on the objectives set out in our Corporate Statement – East Renfrewshire Council Working for You 2007-11. There are sections on our commitments to enabling children and young people to reach their full potential, health and care services, community safety, transport, regenerating our deprived communities, improving our environment and achieving efficiencies.
