Planning Applications

Development Management

Development Management is the system by which the Council processes planning and related applications.

The system operates in the long term public interest and not to protect the interests of one person or business against the activities of another.

The system is strictly controlled by European and National and legislation and is guided by a range of planning policies and guidance from the Scottish Government. The Government’s planning pages and documents can be seen at on the Scottish Government Website.
