Strategic Environmental Assessment

Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) has been introduced into Scottish legislation through the Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes (Scotland) Regulations 2004 which implements Directive 2001/42/EC of the European Parliament and Council on the assessment of the effects of certain plans and programmes on the environment.

Under the Regulations, a Strategic Environmental Assessment Environmental Report is required to be undertaken in connection with the East Renfrewshire Local Plan. A Revised Environmental Report has been prepared to accompany the Finalised Local Plan and a copy is available using the link below.
