BBC RaW
East Renfrewshire libraries are working in partnership with the BBC in support of a new three year literacy campaign called RaW, (Read and Write).
This campaign seeks to reach a target audience of people in the 25 - 54 age range who do read and write, but often lack the skills and experience to do so with confidence.
Information about RaW, assistance in choosing books and access to RaW online is available from all 10 East Renfrewshire Libraries. Barrhead and Thornliebank Community Libraries, which are East Renfrewshire's main RaW libraries, have permanent displays of books and talking books in support of the campaign and, in addition, there's also a touring RaW display.
Check the library catalogue for a full list of RaW titles or ask at your local library.
Further help and information is available from the BCC RaW phone line 08000 150 950 and from the RaW website
