Relax With Your Local Library
While libraries have changed quite a bit since the days of bun-wearing ladies telling you to “shhh!”, they’re still great places to unwind and have a get a bit of peace and quiet.
It can difficult to find a moment to relax when you have a busy life, but because your local library has something for the whole family, you’re sure to find something to occupy everyone - from babies to grandparents!
- Sit back with a good read. Take your pick from thrillers, romances, crime, historical fiction, biographies.
- Grab an audio book. Audio books are great for listening to while you drive and they really liven up household chores.
- Rent a DVD. Choose from the latest releases, classics, children’s films, TV series, musicals and even Shakespearean plays.
- Put a little music in your life. Whether your taste is for pop, rock, classical, folk, jazz or blues you’ll find CDs by artists you know – and some you don’t in at your local library.
- Go on-line. Internet access if free at all local libraries.
