Relevant monetary thresholds

Where the value of a procurement is below £25,000 (subject to ongoing revision), formal tendering procedures are not required. However, we do need to ensure and to be able to demonstrate best value. In such circumstances, we will obtain written quotations whenever appropriate.

Where the value of a procurement is between £25,000 and £139,000 (subject to some exceptions, as determined with our Contract Standing Orders) a formal tendering exercise must be carried out. We will advertise the details of each exercise on our procurement portal.
