Marriage ceremonies
Whether you are having a religious or civil ceremony, you must contact our registration office in the first instance to obtain details of legal preliminaries to marriage in Scotland.
Couples from countries outside the European Union are now required to provide proof that they have satisfied immigration requirements and proof of their nationality in addition to any other relevant documents listed in the “Marriage in Scotland” leaflet. Please contact our registration service for further information.
