Dog warden service
East Renfrewshire's Dog Warden Service is responsible for attending to lost/stray dogs within the district. When a lost/ stray dog is reported the Dog Warden Service are informed, whereupon the dog is located and checked for a microchip. If the information is available the dog is returned to it’s owner as soon as possible.
If there is no micro-chip found on the dog, it is taken to the SPCA kennels in Bothwell Bridge. The dogs are kennelled here with the majority then being claimed by their owners within 7 days.
