Option 1 - Applying for a job by email

Head teachers report
Please note that head teacher report forms can be sent by email with the application form. However a signed copy of the report must follow at the point of application and be received in time for the closing date. Applications not accompanied by a signed head teacher report form by the closing date will not be considered. Application forms can be signed at interview.
The subject of your e-mail should be ED/T02/099/09-10. No other information should be typed in to the subject heading. If you are called for an interview you will be asked to sign your application form at this time.
What happens next?
You will receive an auto reply acknowledging receipt. If you don’t receive an auto reply, the Council cannot guarantee receipt of your application form. Call 0141 577 3001 if you don’t receive an auto reply within 48 hours.
Option 2 - Applying by post
Post your application to:
Education Department, Personnel Section, East Renfrewshire Council Offices,211 Main Street, Barrhead, G78 1SY
Please make sure you quote reference no: ED/T02/099/09-10
Please note that when returning your application pack you must ensure that you use the correct postage. The minimum postage required will be 76p, large letter, but you are advised to have your package weighed to be certain of the exact postage due.
What happens next?
We will post an acknowledgement card shortly after we receive your application. Call 0141 577 3001 (or 0141 577 3007 for all teaching vacancies) if you haven't received a card within 7 working days.
