The Council is often asked for information about any relevant Building Warrants or Completion Certificates in relation to the sale of property and in particular house sales.

Apart from the legal implications failure to obtain Building Warrants or Completion Certificates can have serious practical consequences and can delay the sale of the property.

Please contact the Building Standards Service for further information. An information Leaflet is available for building works that have been carried out without Statutory Consent.
