Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: I have just bought a previously licensed vehicle/premises, can I transfer the licence?
- A: No. Civic Government licences are not transferable. You will need to re-apply for a licence in your own name or your company's name.
- Q: How much petrol can I keep at home?
- A: For safety you should keep the minimum amount necessary. Petrol must only be kept in approved containers and they must be properly labelled. If the modern plastic approved containers are used then no more than two 5 litre containers are permitted. Never store the petrol in your house.
- Q: How much petrol do I need to be storing before I need to have a licence to store petrol?
- A: Licences are issued for the storage of petrol to be dispensed into motor vehicles. No lower limit
